We’ve joined forces with video blogger Anthony Fantano aka The Needle Drop, “the Internet’s busiest music nerd”, to produce a three-part interview series with some of the most compelling voices in music.
Titled On Track with the Needle Drop, the first interview is with the godfather of shock rock himself—Alice Cooper—suitably appropriate for Halloween. Recorded in front of a live and exuberant audience at Skype Live Studio, the Schools Out singer let us know what October 31st is like in the Cooper household, traded ‘war stories’ and had this to say about Skype: “I love it, because I can stay in touch with my family. When you’re on the road as much as we are things like Skype are really important.”
In addition, fans from Moscow and Jersey called in to ask their hero questions over Skype. We also ran a fan art competition—big congratulations to Tom Newell from Sheffield, UK for his spooky winning entry which made its way onto T-shirts given away at Alice Cooper’s show.
