A few days ago, 6 young gamers wrapped up a 100-hour Skype call. 100 hours of uninterrupted gaming and chatting across 4 states, 3 countries and 2 continents. They all met through the gaming community and YouTube and have yet to meet in person.
They’ve been using Skype to chat while gaming for a while now and when asked how the 100-hour Skype call idea came about they replied:
“We came up with the idea when we just started up a normal Skype call (like we do every night) and the call lasted around 15 hours, so we just kept it going and at around 30 hours, we set the goal for 100 hours! There were always a few people talking in the chat at all times. We have one person that lives in the UK, and the rest are in the U.S. and Canada. But since we are gamers, some of our sleep schedules tend to be flipped around. So it all works out.”
So what’s next on their achievement list? “200 hours!”, they replied. And they plan to do it very soon.
We’ll be rooting for you!
