Introducing masks for Skype on mobile

If you’re a Stormtrooper fan, you can patrol the Galactic Empire by donning a virtual helmet—thanks to the introduction of masks in Skype on mobile, starting to roll out today. Masks are face effects for your photos or videos that help you dress up any ordinary selfie. Let your friends know you’re a Star Wars fan in a mask of Kylo Ren or Captain Phasma. The animated masks move with your face, so you can nod in agreement—or agree to disagree—about which Star Wars movie is the best of all time.

To try masks for Skype on your mobile device, tap Camera. Next, tap the mask icon at the top of your screen, scroll through the mask options at the bottom of the screen, and select your favorite. Snap a selfie or take a video and then post it to your Highlights or share it with your friends via chat.

No matter which side you’ve chosen, the Force is strong with you this holiday season. Skype emoticons and masks inspired by Star Wars: The Last Jedi are about to be part of your destiny.
