Skype 2.2 for Linux hotfix

Today we have released a hotfix for Skype 2.2 for Linux static package.

Start downloading the updated version now.

This release updates the libpng library, which is part of our static package, to a newer version to rectify a security issue in the libpng. You can read more details about this security issue on the libpng homepage.

This security issue affects Skype 2.2 for Linux static package only. If you are using any other package of Skype 2.2 for Linux, then you are not affected by this issue. If you are using the static package, we recommend you upgrade to the newly released build.
