Guidelines for comments
We encourage lively and productive discussion in the Skype blogs. Here are some guidelines to help contributors stay on track.
While we don't edit your comments, please be aware that we will delete any posts don't meet our rules of engagement.
Be clear and on topic
Comments are a conversation
Try not to repeat what's already been said. Have a look at other people's comments before posting yours.
Want to send the author a message in private? Click the Skype icon next to their name at the top of the post and choose IM.
Keep it constructive and respectful
No racist, sexist, homophobic or other discriminatory comments.
No personal attacks. Disagreement is healthy, but flaming arguments and ‘YOU SUCK’ are not.
No nonsense comments like ‘LOL!*&^*&@^’.
Try to write your comment in the original language of the blog.
Try to be concise.
Don't write in CAPS LOCK.
Keep comments relevant to the post.
To start a discussion on a new topic, visit the Skype community or write something on your own blog.
Link to relevant blogs or websites, too – but don't link to something simply to advertise it.
