Four new SkypeIn countries
Ok, it's actually three new SkypeIn countries: Chile, New Zealand and Romania. But because the Dominican Republic was added quietly earlier this year, it's worth an honorable mention.
SkypeIn numbers are now available in 18 countries. Here's a quick refresher: When you have a SkypeIn number, your friends who don’t have Skype can call a regular phone number. And you will receive the call on your computer or any other piece of gear that runs Skype.

The most advanced technology in the world is developed in Israel - like Duo 2 Core of Intel. In addition the Israeli Shekel is one of the most stable currencies in the world. It's just logical that Skype should expand to including the Shekel for service payments

This is great news for New Zealanders looking for an alternative. I have been waiting for a long time to have a SkypeIn account as I do not currently have a landline (dissatisfaction with telecommunication providers here).
I agree with being surprised by the lack of media interest; this is a huge step forward for this country where for years have been ruled by monopolies and lack of competition in this area.

Spain should be on a very high priority, since there are so many foriegners here. They have a large need for a simple and cost friendly solution to talk to family and friends. Since Tekefonica is a bit corrupt, I guess that Telefonica is blocking it. It will not surprise me at all. It is not the first time I come across dirty tricks by them.

finally Romania. I'm glad for that. We have a beautiful country. Maybe you hear a lot about this country. Visit Romania is a kind of "India of Europe" full of contrasts but is a positive experience.

I wish I could create a SkypeIn phone in Russia. I know quite a few people who have relatives and friends in Russia, who can not affort international calls. Having a local number for incoming calls could solve the problem for many thousands around the world.

I can't believe Canadians do not have access to local skypein numbers, yet. My igloo is totally equipped and ready to go, yet I cannot get a skypein number with my 519 area code.

I think the more countries the better. I love to learn from different cultures. So many people have so much to say. You will see this to be true if you log into www.emarital.com. Many people are waiting to talk and hang out.

Israel! We need Skypein in Israel! Please help us Skype...Please please please.... Also..I am Canadian and very disapointed in the fact Canada seems to be the only country excluded from Everythingthat has to do with Skypein, Skype out and Ipod Touch/Phone! I don't get why there are no 207 numbers? It looked like Maine was the only state left out? Also, if I sign up for a temporary mass skypein can i change it when a local number becomes available. portland is a thriving artistic community and we do a tons of business w/ Boston & NYC not to mention national and international levels just like everybody else. we are also home to several well accredited colleges and institutions. what gives? was this just some kind of oversight?
