Not everyone is a 'Techie'!! Please explain to me step by step 'how to listen to my voice mails?' make it simple and very clear exactly what I am to do!! I do not wish to read my voice mail messages, but listen to them!! Your website is very unclear..i've been looking for over an hour on how to listen to my voice mails!!

Also, I lost my credit cards. And I wish to add new credit cards!! Why is it so difficult to add additional cards to my account?? please send me step by step how to add a new credit card!! I think skype is very useful and inventive, for sure!! But when you create your website you should keep in mind not all people are techies!! Please answer my two questions clearly and precisely telling me step by step how to add a new credit card, and how to Listen to my voice mails. I hope you guys get the bug fixed soon, I use Skype to study with some of my colleagues and the extras really help. I know the "ExtrasManager" is not working yet, but can you still use extras you already downloaded?

Estou com mesmo problema do Sr. Jamesmythe. Preciso saber como faço para que as pessoas ouçam meus telefonemas e também resolver o problema de audio de computador para computador. Quando eu abri uma conta no skype, havia um suporte técnico com contato direto, agora não existe mais... Sempre que temos problemas não sabemos a quem recorrer. Por favor, alguém me ajude!!!! Skype 4.0 não é bom!!

Eu também estou com problemas... o audio só não fuciona com skype, com hotmail e yahoo, funciona. O meu problema é que preciso telefonar e meus créditos estão no skype... alguém tem uma solução para isso???? Meu endereço de skype é: ntlucas.

Not working yet for me, release 215 seems to have broken my extras manager: i downgraded to version 3.8 waiting for a fix, but the extras manager was still not working.
Tried to upgrade now to release 216, and the extras manager still doesn't work.

What should I do?

My brother and I both upgraded to the new version of Skype at the same time - he has extras and I do not. I have downloaded the "full" version and am now running version 4.0.0.216 and am still unable to access the extras menu which remains greyed out!

If you have lost the Extras Manager when downloading the broken Skype installation (.215) then it will not be automatically downloaded when you reinstall Skype.

Here are instructions for getting the Extras Manager back:

- Download Skype from skype.com
- From the first window you see, where it's possible to choose the language, click on the "Options" button on the lower left hand side
- Tick the "Install Skype Extras Manager" line and proceed with the installation as usual

I have downloaded the latest version of skype, and as above the extras menu is greyed out.
Trying to re install to get the extras manager back as described, doesn't give me an option to "install skype extras manager". The only options I get are: "launch skype after installation" and "Update skype add on for internet explorer".
Any assistance would be appreciated

I have never heard a company with a better tagline 'take a breath'. Everytime I try to use a vista gadget with skype I always hold my breath it will work.

Hello, I just downloaded Skype 4.0.0.224 from the skype website and am unable to access the extras menu. Is there an additional step I need to do, I have installed the Mozilla and IE plugins as well.

The most recent build should fix the problem with the Extras Manager, so if you had problems, please download the newest version today. Don't forget to go to the Options and check the Extras Manager check-box, otherwise it will not be installed.

On the homepage http://www.skype.com/intl/da/download/skype/win for downloading Skype 4.0 in danish, the word "screenshots" is (probably) wrongly translated to danish "Skræmbilleder" which means "scare-pictures". Screen in danish is "skærm".
At least a translation like that makes you smile

I have Something to say about all the so called updates and "Improvements"
The simple fact that in my previous version of skype (I have now version 4.0.0.226 , so you figure out what the previous was the one before), was that at then I could without calling anyone read the phone numbers of my contacts. The upgrade , the version that I have now, it seems to be impossible. Creating good software for clients/customers means things should be simple, efficient, written for the average human being that wants its product to be good simple and efficient and functional. The blindness of the technocrats/developers is that they dont interact anymore with consumers anymore and expect them that they understand all that so called technical shit. Skype must not become the same failure as Vista was for microsoft. Open your eyes all your egocentric blind nerds! You have to deal with consumers that pay for your existence!

man let me tell you. How come no where on the forum anyone mentioned "hey when you are at the install screen in th bottem left corner is a box that says options. Go to it and click the middle one for the extra manager!!!" I have been trying to install skype4com manually for an hour. Jezz. All the info out there and not one hey click the options box when you first install in the bottom left corner. The small little box that I just noticed for the first time after install like 8 times.

Hi there, I opened the Skype extras because I wanted to play games and the window Extras Manager has come up but will not allow me to close it using the X button. Please advise how to close it. I have re-booted the computer and it is still up on my desktop.
