Skype and Sir Paul McCartney help you share the love

At Skype, our number one goal is to bring people closer together so that friends and families can share love with one another in the same way they would if they were in person. Sometimes words alone just can’t express how you feel, so you might send a heart emoticon, or a teddy bear hug. But we knew that there was more we could do to truly help our users celebrate love.

With that, we are thrilled to announce a partnership with the legendary Sir Paul McCartney to bring you a new, exclusive set of love-inspired Mojis. We’ve coupled original Skype designs with unique musical compositions from Paul so you can always express your love to friends and family around the world, no matter what you’re trying to say. Here’s Paul to explain more:

If you haven’t tried Mojis yet, we invite you start today and let us know what you think. Mojis are completely unique to Skype and feature sound as well as video, giving your chats a whole new personality. Paul genuinely loves Skype and, inspired by our existing Mojis, was excited to lend his voice to the Mojis family. Likewise, we were over the moon to work with Paul, and it was a great creative challenge for us to create the animations to compliment his legendary sound. Take a look at the final product!

Love Mojis

We asked Paul to share his experience creating Mojis. You can check out some of the process that went behind creating them here:

As one of the most iconic artists of the 21st century, Paul’s known for expressing his passion through music. We are thrilled to lend some of his magic to a set of Mojis conveying the world’s most powerful emotion, love, through music and art. If you need a creative way to share your feelings, let Paul be your cupid. Not a bad way to serenade the ones you love, right?

If you are on the latest Skype app for Windows, Mac, Android, or iOS, you will see these new Love Mojis as they begin to roll out. Got feedback? We’d love to hear it! Please head over to the Skype Community.
