There’s nothing as exciting as seeing music live. The anticipation and buzz in the air, the moment when your favorite artist takes the stage, the sheer joy you feel when they play your favorite song – going to live gigs is awesome. We want to make sure that music fans have access to everything exciting that happens with their favorite acts on tour. That’s why we’re pleased to announce the Ones To Watch program, which offers music fans direct access to emerging music artists during the “Ones to Watch” tour.
Ones to Watch is a two year long program that promotes up and coming music artists across a variety of genres, from indie rock to hip-hop. We’re going to introduce you to lots of fantastic acts; one of the first that we’ll be involved with is Walk Off the Earth, a totally independent rock band based out of Ontario, Canada.
Skype will help fans get unparalleled access to what’s happening during Ones to Watch tours. Fans will be able to get exclusive backstage photos, exclusive videos from their tours, and an insider view to what’s happening before, during and after the shows. The artist tours are happening all across the US, and Skype will bring you exclusive coverage.
One of the coolest aspects of Ones to Watch is how it brings artists and fans together. Here’s an example of Walk off the Earth interviewing a band they’re fans of – The Hives:
To get involved, add Ones_To_Watch to your contacts on Skype and send your question via video message to Walk Off The Earth. Your question may very well be put to the band the next time we catch up with them during the tour. You can also follow the action by following #SkypeShare as well as Skype’s social channels on Facebook and on Twitter.
Be sure to check out the website for the latest on artists, tour schedules, and other information.
