“A rose by any other name would smell as sweet”, Shakespeare once said. This week we’re launching an update to the Skype Community which brings with it a whole new look and feel. However, like Shakespeare’s rose, the essence of our community is still there; the Skype Community is driven by its members. On top of that foundation, this update will put what matters to you first and create a more harmonious web experience.
One of the guiding principles behind the update was to make it quicker to get to what matters to you. Now there’s a wealth of information right on the homepage, from the latest announcements, to authors who have contributed the most to the community and recent solutions. Additionally, in discussions where a solution has been identified, you’ll be able to see the solution right at the top.
Another goal for this update was to create a more harmonious web experience for users by aligning with the design of other Skype pages and simplifying the experience. We’ve removed a number of unused elements without losing any of your favorite features. This offers you a quick and seamless way into the heart of the discussion.
These are incredibly exciting times for the Skype Community. Not long ago we restructured the community to make it easier to find what you’re looking for and went through a growth spurt that took the number of registered community users over the one million mark. When you combine that with this latest update, we believe the Skype Community is now better than ever.
There’s no need to take our word for it though, pop on over to the Skype Community yourself and get stuck in. With all these improvements, the Skype Community is the best place to share your experiences with Skype, learn from experienced Skype users and join in the discussion on all things Skype.
