Chat and call with all your friends from one place by linking Skype and Facebook
Linking your Skype and Facebook accounts opens up a world of opportunity. You can use Skype to send instant messages to both your Skype and Facebook contacts from one place. On top of that, you can also make video calls to your Facebook contacts. You’ll even be able to view your newsfeed directly from Skype Home.
Sounds great, how do I link my Skype and Facebook accounts?
To link your Skype and Facebook accounts:
- Open Skype
- In the Contacts tab, click the down arrow next to All and select Facebook.
- Click Connect to Facebook
- Enter your Facebook log-in details and click Log in

I’ve got loads of Facebook contacts, can I control when they see me online?
Absolutely! It’s really easy to change how your Facebook contacts see you when you’re signed into Skype with your linked up account.
To set your status for your Facebook contacts simply click on the status icon next to your name and you will see a menu for Facebook status options.
Add your Facebook contacts as Skype contacts to do even more
By linking your Skype and Facebook accounts you will be able to instant message and call your Facebook contacts from Skype. But wait, there’s more! If you add your Facebook contacts as Skype contacts you could create group calls with them, share your screen and transfer files.

To import your contacts:
- Open Skype
- In the menu bar, select Contacts > Import Contacts…
- Enter your Facebook log-in details and click Import
