Skype 6.3 for Mac Update

At Skype, we are committed to ensuring you have the best quality communication experience when you’re using our software. Today’s latest release, an update to Skype 6.3 for Mac, provides you improved overall product stability. Please download the latest Skype for Mac to make sure your calls, messages, and more are the best they can be.

If you’re still experiencing any issues with login or stability after this upgrade, these solutions should help. We welcome any additional feedback through the Skype Community or if you’d like to report an issue please do so through the public issue tracker.

Resolved issues:

Category Description
Contact It is now easier to save a new number to any existing contact.
Localization Optimized Preferences menus for Korean.
Conversations You can create a line break by pressing Shift+Enter during message editing.
Generic “Add Contact Number” popover will be closed when conversation is switched using Option+Command+Left/Right arrow key on keyboard.
Generic The grid contact list will move when scrolling with arrow keys.
Profile You can can edit a contact with a full name and a custom nickname.
Calling Calling toolbar will stay open while “+” sub menu is expanded.
Calling The call monitor will appear in desktop space when Skype is not in focus.
Profile The “Add Number” and “Add to list” fields will be aligned in the Contact profile.
Notification Your contacts’ birthday notifications will appear as expected.

  2. Any place we can find the actual full version/build number of the latest update?

    Any chance of including that in these blog updates when an update is released (beyond simply version 6.3) and/or including it somewhere on the download page to signify what the latest (full) version number is?

    For Mac, Is the latest or or–at different times, sometimes using different browsers, but on the same system, the Mac download page gives those different build downloads, which makes things somewhat confusing.
