Exchange Student Asks for Skype Gift Cards for the Holidays

Clara is a junior at the Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington. Her focus is on international development and – right after the holidays – she is going get some new insight into her major as an exchange student in Quito, Ecuador.
Clara was already an exchange student in Minas Gerais, Brazil, during high school. In fact, her boyfriend lives in Brazil and they talk on Skype almost every day. Clara claims that they have “probably spent a few hundred dollars on Skype Credit this year alone.”
She is also the “Social Chair” of her sorority at the University of Washington and is close with her mom and step-dad in Seattle and her father in Washington, D.C.
While Clara is more than excited about studying in Ecuador, she knows that it will be a juggling act to stay connected with all of the important people in her life. That is why she is asking her friends and her folks for Skype Gift Cards for Christmas.
With a Skype Gift Card she can use Skype to call cell phones and landlines in Seattle, Brazil and Washington, D.C. at no cost to her. She can also send text messages to her sorority sisters or her boyfriend to keep them up-to-date on life, love and learning while in Quito.
And, just in case she feels homesick, Clara can use the Skype Gift Cards to set up Skype Group Video Calls with multiple friends or family so that everyone can talk as if they were in the same room.
