Josh is a junior at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Like many Americans, Josh’s family is spread about the country. His parents are both based in the Pacific Northwest and his sister lives in New York, but everyone in the family travels a lot for work and could be in North America one day and the South Pacific the next.
While Josh has made the cross-country trip home for Thanksgiving in years past, 2012 will be the first time he’s spent the holiday away from the family.
In order to bridge the distance, Josh’s father is planning to buy him a Skype Gift Card loaded with Skype Credit. At no cost to Josh, he can use Skype to call family members from his Skype account to their cell phones and landlines, no matter if they are in Seattle or Singapore. The Skype Credit can also be used to purchase and use other services on Skype like Group Video Calling.
Josh’s dad is currently working in Oregon. Now that he knows about Skype Gift Cards, he will purchase one from the online Skype Store and have it was delivered automatically to Josh in Rhode Island by email. Even though Josh and his family are spending their first Thanksgiving apart, by using Skype Credit from a Skype Gift Card they will still get to share many of their holiday experiences.
