Leave No Partygoer Behind This 4th of July

Happy 4th of July, Skype fans! Nothing says summertime quite like a swimming pool, some fireworks and more than enough barbecue to go around. But with everyone’s busy schedules, it’s possible that the whole family may not be able to make it to the festivities this year. Luckily, Skype makes it easier to get everyone in on the backyard holiday fun.

Whether you’re showing off your delicious barbecue to an absent friend or sharing a fireworks show with a traveling family member, there are various ways Skype can help keep your family close when they’re far away during the holiday. Here are some fun ideas to get the party started:

  • Don’t be discouraged if a loved one can’t come to the party – Skype can help bring the party to them. With Skype video calling, you can ensure that nobody misses out on the fun. Place Skype-enabled laptops at the dinner table or gather everyone around the TV to say hi. Just make sure to keep the computers away from the pool!
  • Have a friend, sibling or family member studying abroad? Call their international number with Skype To Go and give them a taste of home with a ‘happy 4th’greeting. And with Skype’s great rates, feel free to pass the phone around to fellow party-goers.
  • Can’t get a hold of friends and family during the barbecue? Don’t worry – since Skype allows you to send files of any size, you can take photos or record videos of the fun and send the party to them later.

Will you be using Skype to wish someone a happy 4th of July? If so, leave a comment and share with us.
