Drum roll… and the winner for the Greatest Skype Moments contest is…
On October 10th we invited our Twitter followers and Skype Facebook fans to share their Greatest Skype Moments by submitting a photo or video and description to us through Facebook. Our contest ended on November 5th and we received a hefty load of submissions.
With 625 votes from fans, Paige Blose’s story took the lead and won $500 just in time for the holidays. The winning submission featured a screenshot of Paige’s Skype video call with her husband who had been overseas for a few months. During this call, Paige introduced him to their newborn daughter. In the photo, the young man’s eyes are fixed upon his beloveds, one whom he has yet to meet in person.
Congratulations on your new baby! Glad Skype was able to make this moment special for your family.
We feel that a special shout out and warm thank you is really well deserved among the many strong military men and women out there. Military stories were the majority of the Greatest Skype Moments, and we really enjoyed reading them. Newborns met their fathers for the first time, a toddler was eager to kiss the screen, and another baby smiling in awe.
We think showcasing this round-up of wonderful stories from military families is fitting for Veteran’s Day and we are really glad that we can help many of the men and women who have served their country.
