Hollywood Stars Using Skype
Last week on TV, we saw the rich and glamorous mentioning and demonstrating their use of Skype video calling in day-to-day life. For example, celebrity gossip guru and super Skype user Perez Hilton was featured on Headline News Network answering questions about who the most talked about celebrity is today. And, go figure, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Britney Spears were the topics of conversation!
Next up, Russell Brand had an exciting night on the George Lopez Show. When George asked Russell about his communication with wife Katy Perry while on the road, Russell implied they use Skype to keep in touch. We love hearing about couples using Skype video calling while apart (we wonder if Katy serenades Russell).
To add onto the celebrities last week, horror movie director John Carpenter was awarded the Phantasmagoria Award at Philadelphia’s Cinefest via Skype. During the video call, Carpenter talked about his horror films, such as “Halloween” with Jamie Lee Curtis. It is great how Cinefest was able to virtually honor Carpenter via Skype for his most recent film “The Ward.”
