Getting to Know Skype Manager
Hello. My name is Mart “Tram” Abramov, and I am one of the product managers here for Skype Manager. Since the launch of Skype Manager in May 2010, we have received a lot of feedback and responses from our users. The feedback is invaluable as we constantly strive to find new ways to make Skype Manager even better.
Over the coming weeks, we will answer some of the most frequently asked questions we’ve received during this past year about Skype Manager. We will also include relevant links and user guides to help you get the most out of this helpful piece of software.
First off, I wanted to take a moment to answer the question “what is Skype Manager?
In short, it is a Web portal for managing Skype in your company.
- It will allow you to create new Skype accounts for your employees and manage them from one administrative interface
- It allows you to have a central company balance of Skype Credit – which can be distributed to Skype accounts in your company
- It allows you to purchase and manage features such as Voicemail and Group Video Calling subscriptions
Of course, there is much more to Skype Manager than just these three points, but this should give you a fairly good idea of the immediate benefits a business will experience in using it. There is a very useful Skype Manager User Guide that describes the functionality of Skype Manager in much more detail and it should answer many of your questions.
