Introducing our Emerging Opportunities team
Today Skype takes another step towards our ambition to bring Skype to as many devices and platforms as possible.
We’ve created a new division, the Emerging Opportunities team, which will be responsible for our partnerships in the consumer electronics space and with silicon chip manufacturers. It’ll continue the strong relationships we have with TV manufacturers such as Panasonic, Samsung and Sony, as well as take on a number of incubation projects.
I’m happy to announce that Jonathan Christensen has taken a new role as Vice President to lead this function, and I look forward to working closely with him over the coming months as the great work continues.

Very good Move. With the advent of all these new devices and new faster connectivity technologies, more and more people will want to communicate on the mobile devices rather than their systems.
I have a question : Skype video is supported on iOS 4. Will group calling be supported on iPad 2 since it has a larger screen and camera too. If yes, that that would be the most important feature of iPad.
