Bang on! Implementing social media for business growth is a remarkable phenomena of the modern age. And it’s only just beginning. At last small businesses are freed from the control and financial demands of IT professionals and can promote their name and word by simple things such as Twitter.
For example, see the Twitter ‘favouritised’ tweets on my sponsoring company’s own site http://www.castlecomfortstairlifts.com and take a look at the followers and subsequent back links and traffic generated by a simple communication tool.

Very nice video! Our recruiting firm uses Skype exclusively for global phone service with offices in the US, UK, Argentina and Uruguay. I wanted to comment on the nice job in bringing the Linux version on line with screen sharing. I have used it extensively to train Recruiters in other countries with limited complaints that their display of my screen freezes at times. Very useful in on boarding new people.

You also spoke of the new Mac products We have recently brought iPads into play at our firm, but we are somewhat stifled by the lack of an application to allow the collaborative wizardry we have become accustomed to. Any ideas when we will have something?

Thank you for your comments, Louis. Yes, there are a lot of applications for Skype video in interviewing. Many firms are using it and saving a lot of time, money and effort vs. physical traveling. And yes, that screen sharing feature is the best kept secret on Skype, I think! It has enormous opportunities in many areas.

Regarding the applications for iPad, there are some sketching tools. I’m not a graphics person so I’m not the best resource. You might look into Jot! Free which is an app that allows freehand jots on a screen. Even better, check out some graphic forums. The iPad is more suited for consumption than creation in its present version. Who knows what iPad 2 or even iPad 3 will hold? Should be good!

Thank you for your comments, Louis.
