Skype 5.0 Gold for Mac
We released Skype 5.0 Gold for Mac. We would like to thank all of you for providing an extensive amount of feedback to us during the beta period. We have incorporated many items from the feedback raised in this ‘gold’ release. In addition we would like to make a big bow in front of our Closed Beta testers and localizer community, for the huge contributions made during the entire development period.

With the release of Skype 5.0 for Mac, we have made following improvements:
Resizing UI
Sidebar shrinks as the window gets smaller when the content area is at its minimum size. It remembers the last position the user dragged it to and will grow back to this position.
Sidebar collapses when the window is too small to show it and un-collapses when it gets large enough again.
Full Screen video calling
Users can activate full screen video calls either on 1:1 or Group Video calls.
Improved visibility in of ‘Dial pad’ and ‘Add Contacts’
We have increased the visibility of ‘Dial pad’ by moving it to title bar, and improved ‘Add Contacts’ functionality during calls and conversations.
