I have a Galexy Tab with no phone service. I want to Skype via my network. How do I do it?
team the page does not open after pressing download , also the app has been removed from the market also
@Raul you’re not aware of skype problems with lg optimus one? the voice came out from loud-speaker (hands-free mode) and not from the classic in-call speaker. This causes an heavy background noise during calls and calls volume too high. We reported this problem in the skype forum but it seems that no-one takes care of it…thanks
impossible to download!
I just tried to download Skype to my Android 2.2 Witstech A81-E MID from http://skype.com/m and got “Item not found”. Interesting. Is there an explanation? I have to say the reason for downloading it is I accidentally un-installed it when I was having serious problems getting it to work over my WiFi connection, the A81-E doesn’t have 3G or GSM etc. I thought a re-install might fix the problems. I have Skype in my Ubuntu 10.04 PC and Nokia E72 phone so I know how it works.
When downloading the Skype for Android then after you click download from skype.com/m please choose Android Market to open the link and not web browser.
When choosing Android Market then it will sucsessfully download the update.
We are investigating the possible issue with LG Optimus One.
I updated to this new version and the first thing that i noticed was the signin and signout sound is now gone , so i tried a reinstall after rebooting the HTC Desire V2.2 , i downloaded from the Android Market , after the installation was complete rebooted and found the same no signin sound , and the other problem that has existed from the prev Versions , is the Ring Tone which has been set to the Classic Ring , which is the Loudest tone on the device , even with the volume on Max the tone is no where near loud enough , have found most of the time when the Skype incoming call forwards to the Cell Phones number with the volume on max then it is too loud , have found no other problems so far , the voice quality is very good indeed . It woud make my day if some fix could cure the problem with no control over the volume level to match the normal incoming call from the network ..
Right after installing Skype on my HTC Desire Z I noticed two new buttons in the contact popup window, the problem is that those buttons are not correctly localized, not they’re labeled ChatActivity and CallActivity. Another problem is that ChatActivity button is quite large about 128px wide while the others are about 70. Looks very ugly.
