Skype 3.0 for iPhone – with video calling

This season is very special as we are releasing a new version of Skype for iPhone and iPod Touch with video calling. Now you will be able to share all the special moments in video, as they happen, wherever you are.

Skype video calling is supported over WiFi and 3G* data connections. You can enjoy video calls with users on all Skype desktop versions and with other Skype for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad users.
You can make video calls in both portrait and landscape mode and use both front and back cameras.
Users on iPhone 4, 3GS and iPod Touch (4th Generation) can enjoy full 2-way video calling. Users with iPod Touch (3rd Generation) and iPads can receive video.
Video calling with Skype requires iOS 4.0 or above to be installed on your device. Skype 3.0 for iPhone will also work on iOs 3.x, but without video support.

Nice work! What about Android? Will Video calling be available for those?
Please re-enable proxy support. I’m really looking forward to use video calling, but I’m stuck at 2.0.0 (last version in which proxy support worked).

Add to these known issues that some users are experiencing videocalls where their video is being streamed to their desired caller. However the video stream of the other caller is video of themselves and there is no PIP window in the lower corner of the screen….
Another Problem found with DAILPAD:
Unable to use dailpad after placing call, the dailpad feature is gone in version 3.0. I use dailpad after making call to enter passcodes.
Need help ASAP.

Great work! 3G video call have an incredibile quality! The only problem is that the application doens’t work via proxy! It could be’ useful!
I wish that the “small” iphone screen will keep clear of all unnecessary information as much as possible to get the most out of the video call.
Please let the – “end Call” – window at the bottom of the screen disappear “”automatically”", just like all the other “OPTION-Windows” !!
During a video call we don’t wanna sacrifice any screen space by information I don’t need to look at permanently.
