Skype now available on Motorola Citrus and DROID Pro, Samsung Continuum, LG Vortex and BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 on Verizon Wireless
Skype mobile on Verizon Wireless lets you make free calls* to friends and family on Skype, great value calls to landlines and mobile phones overseas, and send IMs to people on Skype anywhere in the world. And it’s just got even better.
We’ve added support for the Motorola Citrus and DROID Pro, Samsung Continuum, LG Vortex and BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330.
Here’s how charging works:
Skype-to-Skype calls, to or from your mobile, computer or TV
These calls are completely free*. They don’t count towards your Verizon Wireless minutes allowance.
Calls to another mobile number or landline number in the US
These calls count towards your Verizon Wireless minutes.
Calls to an international mobile number or landline number
These calls are great value – pay for these using Skype Credit or one of our subscriptions. For example, you can make unlimited calls† to landlines in Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey for just $6.99 per month.
All calls run on the largest and most reliable wireless network in the US, which helps to make sure that call quality is top-notch, and lets you use your favorite accessories, including Bluetooth headsets.
For Motorola Citrus or DROID Pro, BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330, Samsung Continuum or LG Vortex, head to www.skype.com/m from your phone’s browser or text SKYPE to 2255 for a link to download.
Don’t forget that you can also get Skype on the LG Fathom on Verizon Wireless, running Windows Mobile 6.5. To get Skype mobile on your LG Fathom, again visit www.skype.com/m on your phone or text SKYPE to 2255 for a link to download.
* You’ll need a data plan in order to use Skype mobile on your Verizon Wireless phone.
† A fair use policy applies to unlimited subscriptions.
Hello, i try to download Skype from my Bold 9700 but it says there is no skype version available for my model yet. Any idea when will be available? Thanks
I just got my BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 for Verizon, and Skype Mobile was already there. I made a mistake trying to figure out how my new phone works, so I pressed (by mistake, going through different options) uninstall Skype and it did uninstall the application. When I tried to download Skype again, it keeps saying that my phone doesn’t support Skype Mobile. I really want this application back, and an interesting thing is that I still get notifications from skype (little “S” on the top of the screen) but I can’t open or delete it, Skype is nowhere to be found. What can I do?
I think you should try to restore factory settings on your phone…probably your skype app would come back…
Great for Blackberry I just try and run perfectly is very good and using wifi puff, Great.
Thank you very much for your work skype is the best way for call cheap to my family in Sweden.
Kind regards
David
