    Hi there,

I would like to say that the application works fine on iPod Touch 4g except some major and minor flaws.

Skype may be working in the background, but when you connect to another wireless, or somehow get disconnected and get connected back, you are gonna have to go back to skype for it to reconnect.

When you import contacts to Skype you cannot change the number even tho you can change the contact’s name. You won’t be able to get on the phone number edit box.

Sometimes you cannot end the call because you cannot see the menu. You’re gonna have to do another call to cancel the active one.

There are some others I cannot recall now. I hope you’ll get Skype to reconnect when it’s in the background because it’s hard to get on skype to let it connect everytime you connect to another wireless.

    Thanks.

Hello, I have this problem with Skype 2.1.2. for iPhone (3GS) and iOS 4.1:
I use Skype mainly through the Windows PC.

When I’m chatting with Skype on my pc, then I go out and I open Skype on the iPhone to continue the chat while I’m moving, all the chat messages with each contact are no more in chronological order, but mixed between different dates.

So, for example, with one contact I can’t find any more where is the last messages because I see today messages mixed with yesterday ones as well as one month ago messages; and then another group mixed again.

I can’t even find where to purge the complete database of chat messages on my iPhone to try to see if deleting and reloading them I can get some chronological order.

At the moment Skype for iPhone is completely unuseful for me.

    Thanks for your help.

It would be nice if the application could reconnect after a system reboot. This is supported by iOS VOIP API´s, but it doesn´t seem like it is implemented correctly in Skype. From my testing it seems like the Skype application get relaunched by the system after boot, but fails to reestablish the connecton.

Since Skype is available for iPhone I have always been a satisfied customer of Skype. And now with iPhone 4 I have the best Skype experience ever when talking about the brilliant sound quality, the multitasking and the low call rates, but I am missing the videocall function, which would complete everything. I know that you rather taking a little longer to release a great product that rush with an unstable App, but the iPhone 4 is by now out for half a year. I hope you working on videocalling with Skype on iPhone 4 with the next release. Please listen to your customers feedback carefully.

I love Skype for the ipod touch – I use it as a home phone.

But when I imported all of my contacts from the apple address book, they do not work in the skype app because none of them had the US calling code ’1′ in front of the number. And to make it worse, the app will not let me edit the phone number either. So the import is pretty much useless unless you have the international codes on every single number.

    Please fix! Thanks!

I have an iPhone 4 .. and i use the skype app … i am wondering if there is any way at all possible without jailbreaking my phoone to use a bluetooth headset with skype.
it is frustrating as hell to have to resort to a cable hanging from my ear when using skype.
