Skype at CommunicAsia 2010
CommunicAsia is the region’s biggest consumer electronics event, and this year Skype is here in force. In an hour’s time (0930 SGT), Josh Silverman will take to the stage to deliver this year’s visionary address. You can watch it live above, or read on for some clues as to what’s inside.
You can follow along on this blog, or on one of our Twitter accounts – and if you’re at CommunicAsia, come to say hello in Hall 4. You might even find a surprise or two ![]()
My daughter was able to communicate with her grandpa today via Skype. He is in ICU following a brain surgery. Cellular phones are not allowed in the ICU but internet is. So he could listen to his grand daughter’s voice via Skype. He could not talk because he got a breathing tube down his throat. But he was very happy to hear her voice.
I really like the approach Skype is taking on trying to get programs and apps to integrate more easily. Just a win win for everyone. I am working on 2 projects for Skype apps at the moment.
