Getting married over Skype
What do you do when you’re stranded in Dubai and need to get married? Use Skype, of course 
That’s exactly what Sean Murtagh and Natalie Mead did – travel disruption meant that they couldn’t make it to London, so they were married over a Skype video call from their hotel in Dubai.
What a great story!
My son got married yesterday in Houston, TX, yesterday, 26 Feb 2011. My wife and I, who are from the Philippines, traveled 8,500 miles to be there at the wedding. Unfortunately, our two daughters couldn’t travel to the US for various reasons.
We used Skype to connect them to the church wedding ceremony and the reception afterward. We set up a webcam and a MacBook inside the church so they could witness the wedding in real time. Later, we used Skype on an iPhone at the reception to give them a feel of the event.
