The Phone Box Experiment: One man. A phone box. In the middle of nowhere.

Find out more at the Phone Box Experiment website.

Rob Cavazos is Skype’s newest recruit and will be living out by a phone box somewhere in the south of Spain for as long as he can take it. Inspired by the famous Mojave phone booth, the ‘loneliest phone box in the world’, we’ve sent Rob to an equally remote location.

Only, we don’t want him to be quite so lonely and he has instructions to take calls from anyone and everyone, regardless where they’re calling from. You can call him however you like but you may find that calls made from Skype are significantly better value (check out our rates to Spain).

Rob spent most of his first day inundated by calls from eager people in over 30 countries. They must have heard the news – Creativity Online, the Guardian, New Media Age, Adverbox, The Shape of Things to Come, We love viral and UTalkMarketing have all given their views.

Just remember, if you don’t feel like shooting the breeze with a stranger – you can always buy some Skype Credit and call anyone, on any of their phone numbers, at any time you like.

Stay tuned for more updates about Rob in due course – he may have a few surprises up his sleeve ;)

    Hi,

this is an amazing experiment, just shows people are willing to engage in different ways. I rang and Rob left my name on the board for me.

    Joe from Dublin.
