Whoa, that was quick

In just 35 days since we reached the 13 million milestone, we’ve passed another.

A couple of hours ago, 14 million people around the world were using Skype at the same time. That’s about the same as the population of Greater London. Or Malawi.

Pretty impressive stuff – and thanks to Jean and Phil for spotting it while I was on my way home from the office.

p.s. If there’s someone out there who you think can help us reach the next million, drop them a line using our handy tell a friend page :)

here, did you spot this thought on what the 14 mio concurrent user number really means …. Skype number game is on : more than 14 million simultaneous Skype users online. : http://www.skype-gadgets.com/webtown/2008/10/skype-number-ga.html

Wow – 14 million people on at once – too bad the Skype customer service team can’t get their act together and keep legitimate customers’ accounts up and running – maybe they would have more.

@ricardoenfante give me a shout if you’re having problems with your account, and I’ll be able to sort something out.
