Skyped Ya!
Because it’s Friday afternoon here in London, I thought I’d share something which has been keeping us amused here at Skype HQ.
Thanks to the guys at the Creative Review, we came across the latest silly photo meme – Skyped Ya! Just position your Skype video call window over the image, and hey presto – instant relief from that long call with the boss.
“I’m not sure what the practical application is, but it sure makes the monthly video call to my mother-in-law a little more interesting,” says Diskin who, by day, works with Morrison at the TBWA ad agency in London.

I think it’s great that the people at HQ are having fun. Meanwhile, the customers hate you. Many of us have had our accounts blocked for no reason whatsoever that we know about. Your support people completely ignore us. We’ve paid our money and now we’re in limbo. Keep laughing. We’ll be laughing too when that class action lawsuit gets filed for failure to deliver paid for services and the penalties it will inspire. Some of us can’t decide whether to wait for the lawsuit or to contact the news media first to let them know what goes on at Skype. Then again, some of us think that letting your PARTNERS know how you treat your customers is the way to fast resolution of the problem. And to think, this all could of been avoided by providing a little phone support – or even better, not blocking our accounts in the first place – or at least telling us WHY our accounts were blocked.
