In August under Developer Spotlight

pic_spotlight.jpgIn August our star Developer is Don Kennedy AKA TheUberOverLord.

Don is one of Skype’s veteran developers who has among other things helped many others to get on track with the Skype API. We have asked some questions from Don – go and find out!

Developer Spotlight is new permanent topic in Dev Zone starting May 2008.
The idea for this topic is to bring out our bright and hardworking SDP Developers and Partners to credit and let the world know about them :)

Our first developer under Spotlight was bopper. He is 20 year old student from Japan and his twitter4skype was Skype 2007 Mashup winner in Asia.

just have a comment for easier marketing…. (probibly not totally appropriate, but for lack of another avenue to suggest this through, lets see if this will be noted… )
on the skype window there is no “quick link” to inviting new people to skype… there is an option in one of the “drop down” menue’s, but what a mission to find it, AND then it goes through the whole process of looking for matches in your address book, recommending them, then offering to “invite” the rest of the contacts (which I must say is not even acurate, because there were many of my contacts that WERE skype users already but the program did not realize that), and then its finished.
Now here’s the question…. what if you want to invite someone who’s email address you have but which is not stored as an official contact anywhere in your applications? What if I had the email address that I could just type in? Can’t you have a “invite” option on our skype menue, that simply allows us to type in an address and send, instead of having to log on to the actual Skype site to find the option of inviting someone….. and even there you have to look for it…. Hope you can get me some feed back…. thanx a mill…
    Kind Regards
