Call transfer now available with Skype
The latest versions of Skype for both [Windows]( http://www.skype.com/download/skype/windows/business.html) and [Mac]( http://www.skype.com/download/skype/macosx/) include a key new business feature that many customers have been asking for. You can now transfer Skype calls simply and easily to other Skype contacts. Plus, if you’re a [Skype Pro]( http://www.skype.com/go/skypepro/) subscriber, you can transfer the call to a landline or mobile phone too.

If you receive calls on behalf of a colleague you can screen these calls by placing them on hold and then checking that your colleague is available before transferring.
See the [Call Transfer User Guide]( http://www.skype.com/help/guides/calltransfer/index.html) for more information on how to transfer Skype calls.
We’ve also introduced another new feature; auto-redial. Meaning if the number being called is busy, Skype can automatically redial it every two minutes, until the call is answered.
So make sure you have the [latest version of Skype]( http://www.skype.com/download/skype/windows/business.html) to take advantage of these new business features/
I am sure the auto-redial is an awesome feature. But, my Skype auto-redial keeps randomly auto-redialing all of my contacts. This is annoying, as when I am away from my desk and a contact gets a “call from me”, they answer and no one is there. Some of them I have never spoken to on a Skype call. And I have never made a call to a contact and gotten a busy signal. It’s like it has a mind of its own. Is there any way to turn this feature off?? Thank you.
Thanks for your post about Auto Redial. This is the first report I’ve received of an issue with this feature, and we’ll look into it for you.
In the meantime, if you would like to switch this feature off, you can go to: Tools > Options > Calls > Call Settings. Uncheck the Auto redial option on the Call Settings screen.
I sure do love the idea of using Skype for my small office, but I don’t want to loose the ability to use a regular handset either. Can any of the handsets Skype endorses transfer calls? Is there another solution I don’t know about?
