eBay DevCon Munich

Last Friday I was invited to speak at the eBay developer conference in Germany and show developers how to build and deploy applications using the Extras Publishing Studio.

The event took place in Munich and had speakers various speakers attend from “The Power of 3” including Adam Trachtenberg from the eBay developer program in the US, and Damon Williams from PayPal also in the US.

]]>Damon very kindly gave me a copy of his new book that focuses on how PayPay enables ecommerce.

While at the event I had the chance to speak with lots of eager developers and find out what developers are building using Skype and eBay. I really liked Town Kings which is a Skype community mashup. It’s only a demo right now but if you visit the site you will see it looks good.

PayPay kindly sponsored the party which was a good chance to get to know a few of the local developers and share some beers.

Talking of beers, don’t forget that on Thursday we are running a meet Skype event in London where you will get the chance to meet some of the Developer Relations team, shoot some pool and take the xBox challenge.

If you are interested you had better move quickly and register.

Finally if you are in the US don’t forget we will be out in Boston in June at the eBay developers conference so you will have the chance to meet with us as well.

Here are a few pictures I took during the party ;)
