The SkypePM.exe file is hogging over 50% of my processing and has been causing all of my other programs to freeze, crash or just act inappropriately. I’ve disabled this.
I read that the program makes a connection to a Time Server. This brought to mind the discrepancy between the times I establish to start Skypecasts and the time Skype actually starts them. Sunday should be a hoot with the change to Daylight Time. I don’t have any idea what compensation I’ll have to do to make sure it comes out to start at 1000UTC. The time problem spills over into everything in the Skypecasts. The last hour of the Skypecasts are not recognized by the server as being in progress. Users get messages in error that the Skypecasts are closed. This is miserable when users get knocked out and aren’t allowed to return. Rather than forcing my computer to make extra connections with a Time Server and hogging my processing, the Skype site should be doing this and getting everything there in sync with the correct time.
