Help research how English and French speakers differ in using blogs and the Internet

Jessica is conducting research on this topic. If you’re interested in this and believe you have insight, please contact her directly.

> How universal is the Internet? Will blogging lead to an exchange of cultures within the online community uninhibited by age, gender or geographic position? In an attempt to research this and other aspects of user behaviour online, an ongoing investigation is underway to compare how French speakers and English speakers communicate online, looking at the extent to which the Internet is influencing language in the two different cultural settings. I am interested in hearing from Skypers (please include profile) who may have a particular point of view about the way in which society uses the Internet.

    French, male, 22, student/job seeker.

Skype is a revolutionary tool for those who use the Internet to communicate with friends/relatives, near or far. It is fast (no need to think much, type, spellcheck…) and cheap. All that young adults could want. One just needs a computer and a DSL connection. Now webcams can be used on Skype so there is no need for other software.
