Skype for Mac with video beta
It’s here. No longer a preview, it’s now a “beta”. [Download.](http://www.skype.com/download/skype/macosx/20beta.html) [More info in our Mac blog.](http://blogs.skype.com/sites/mac/2006/09/skype_for_mac_with_video_is_he.html)
Already during the preview phase, we got lots of “thanks” and kind words from the Skype for Mac community, along with suggestions and problems feedback. All appreciated and useful.
Stepping back from this specific release — why Skype Video is cool is that it’s one of the few video calling solutions that’s simple to use and really just working across platforms and networks.
If you’re on Mac, please help us by [telling us what you think of this beta](http://ecustomeropinions.com/popup/survey.php?sid=223721717), or [comment on the forum](http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showforum=47).
Wohoo Fiiiiinally ))))
Now I can video chat with all the friends and relatives around the world who don’t use iChat or AIM! Wo-hoo
“that’s simple to use and really just working across platforms and networks….”
I think you guys have left the symbian community off since skype announced a version for that early this year. i start thinking that 3G mobile companies have bribed skype for not loosing on their core business
Works fine for about 24 hours, then stops. Drop down menus greyed out, contacts greyed out (skype out contacts work fine to landline) can’t do a search. Re-install works…….for another 24 hours
