Conference calls – made easy with Skype toolbar for Outlook
I recently got a suggestion regarding doing more to support conference calls in the Outlook toolbar. Of course I pointed out that we already do quite a lot in that area. Thought I would share it with you here:
1. Select any meeting – you will see a conference button on it
2. From an email – starting an ad-hoc conference call with all the cc:s etc of an email
3. By selecting more than one Outlook contact in your contacts folder

3. By selecting more than one Outlook contact in your contacts folder:

A picture says a 1000 words – so I guess I just wrote a lot of words! Also – if you are using the Outlook Express or the Thunderbird toolbars they do support the email and the contact multiselect scenario.
You can download the email toolbars from:

Hope you find this useful!
On the subject of conference calling…in the latest version of Skype, users have lost the ability to add a new caller to a conference call in the middle of the conference call. We used to be able to do it in previous versions. Now if we need to add a caller, we need to hang up on the conference call and re-initiate it with ALL the members at the call outset.
How would you recommend that we urge Skype to add that ability back in. It’s super challengin to conference correctly now – and users like me wish we could back-rev to get the old feature again.
I welcome your feedback on this. Thanks…

How do you configure Windows Phone & Modem settings to use Skype (instead of a regular land line based modem, for instance)?
