Sony Mylo — available soon with Skype
Sony just announced [Mylo](http://www.sony.com/mylo/). It has WiFi and Skype. It will be available in September for about $350 on [sonystyle.com](http://www.sonystyle.com) and Sony retail stores and authorized dealers.
Mylo stands for My Life Online. It’s an interesting device for Skype, Sony and the other involved partners because it’s the first of its kind. You can talk with it, but it’s not really a phone. You can listen to music, but it’s not just an MP3 player. It’s all these combined, and more. Two Mylos that are close can automatically detect each other and stream music and things across. It has a full slide-out keyboard so when entering info, it doesn’t limit you to some obscure onscreen entry method or entering characters with number keys like you do with most cell phones. We’ve put a lot of effort into working with Sony to make Skype run great on this thing. It does all the Skype features you’d expect — calls, voicemails, chat (one-on-one and in groups, and with animated emoticons), profile and contact management… And remember we got free SkypeOut calls in North America to the end of the year? So you can walk around and do free Skype and phone calls.
In addition to Mylo, we announced WiFi phones a while ago. We have more devices coming. The remainder of 2006 will be a very interesting Skype gadget year.
what about sending sms through the mylo ?
since dreaming doesn’t cost must, what about receiveing sms with skype ?

… it would also be great if Nintendo DS Lite would support skype – as it has wireless, and microphone, and headphones, all it would need would be the Nintendo cartridge with the program… so how about the cartridge with e.g. $ or E 50 of credit for $ or E 50 or 60 to start, and buy more credit online…? I’d love to call with my nintendo
Sony should have developed a keyboard for the PSP (PlayStation Portable) and a new, better firmware to support software like Skype. The PSP has WiFi too!
Sorry, but in my holy opinion this Mylo is one of the most useless devices ever…
Just let me say using WiFi through PSP is a slow and sad process. With mylo its as fast as it should be and no problems with the browser cookies and all the errors that pop up on PSP. Its worth the money, because no one else makes one, simple as that. When I got mine, and then went back to my PSP, the PSP felt like a brick. The only downside to the mylo is the keyboard doesn’t light up.
Can anyone comment on the sound quality using Skype on mylo?
Can it hande more than one user, or Skype account?
Can it handle more than one Skype in phone number?
It only has 802.11b, b/g would have been better.
i have a mylo and i was wondering if i buy skype minutes will i be able to call anyone or just other people with a mylo?and will i only be able to call out when i am connected to wifi?

it would be realy grate if skype appeares at PSP. I’ll be very happy I’m useing skype for about 4 years and I’m very glad of it. so try it plz
it’s not cool: skype is available for psp (fm 3.90) but just for psp slim&light it’s not fear i’m realy angry of it f**k!!
