I am trying to slowly replace our telephones with skype for me the most pressing issues are the following in no particular order:
1. .msi files for easy network deployment & upgrading
2. For the contact list not to cause sync errors with Windows roaming profiles. And the contact list to update as soon as you login to a new machine not a few days later.
3. The ability to transfer calls
4. Central account creation/management for admins
5. Central ability to see bills/call histories for employees as well as just to pay for them!
6. One skype number to be assigned to multiple users again centrally administered.
basically its all about centralisation, Staff don’t want to have to worry about ICT or administrating the telephones which is why centralised admin is so important. Looking forward to where skype will go with this new slant on bussiness.
If you want you can use the standard pbx but with Skype Features.
How ?
Just use skype2pbx (www.skype2pbx.com).
With this software you can connect up to 99 skype lines to a standard PBX.
Very usefull.
I have just signed-up for and posted credits into a business group. I am very disappointed. The User Guides are horrible, an invitation I made did not get through to User & I cannot re-send. Most importantly, I cannot get to any type of panel that will allow me to allocate credits.
HELP, HELP, HELP !!!
As a personal user of Skype for more than 2 years I’ve worked through most of the issues, but this is very difficult.
I just downloaded Skype and had multiple problems. Your csutomer service was no help at all. I worked through my problems by talking to other Skype users.
I was wondering if there is anyway to set up skype for a small business that uses MAC OS X computers?? If so, what is the best way to do it? about 10 users
