Cat burgler
A couple of days ago I blogged about Video Snarf, yesterday before leaving to go to the office I just happened to be sitting in front of my home PC and as I had it installed I decided to enable it and to protect my desk. I’m not 100% sure what I was protecting it from but it seemed like a good plan at the time.
]]> Once Video Snaft detects some movement in the webcam it will make a Skype Video call so you can see the intruder.
By the time I got into London I had completely forgotten that it was running, that was until 11am when home Skype account rang me to tell me about an intruder in my office. Unfortunately I was in a meeting and only saw the call just as the call cut off.
The house is completely empty and no one should be in the house let alone my office so I am a little panicky wondering what on earth has move around my desk.
The great thing about Video Snarf is it has an IM BOT that you can send it an IM command to get the last image it captured so I was able to get a image of my intruder.
Perhaps next time I’ll close the office door.
I just read an almost identical blog post, but it was made by your cat and it shows you as the intruder!
