New Developer Zone
This morning I bet there are lots of happy Arsenal fans around, I’m certainly one of them. I was looking in my buddies list for some Italians to taunt, especially if they were Juventus fans, but they all seem to be keeping a low profile this morning.
We have to go to Turin to play the away leg yet, but let me have my moment of glory.
Developer Zone
We are moving away from our old Developer Zone website and have a new home. Actually it’s an intermediate step to where we want to be but it’s an improvement on what we have already.
You can access the new Developer Site at https://developer.skype.com/ so take a look.
One of the new things you will notice is now you can raise a developer support incident, report bugs, or even suggest improvements to Skype (Support Page).
For a while when browsing the site you will be passed around the new and the old site but we are working on bringing all the old content across.
Take a look and let us know what you think!
I’m confused about the various skype developer websites. Maybe it’s because of this transition period you’re in.
Google for “skype java” and it takes you here:
http://blogs.skype.com/directory/java_skype_api/view/
Is that the old ‘developer zone’ website or what? It discusses a project which seems to be a bit dead, in that the API download links are broken. I am unable to login to the comments system on this ‘blogs.skype.com’ website, using my normal credentials as instructed.
A different discussion on an entirely different forum here: http://forum.skype.com/viewtopic.php?t=44387&highlight=java
Describes a java skype API at a different URL (japanese sourceforge project). An entirely different implementation I guess.
I know skype isn’t officially maintaining a java API/wrapper, but can you shed any light on what’s what where, and which forum is what?
Thanks for your comment, gh-hwo. It deserves a bit longer response so I’ll write another post in this blog instead of commenting
