Enough talking – give me video

We will, we promise. Not quite yet I’m afraid but we’re working hard to make it happen. Jaanus put it nicely [in this blog entry](http://blogs.skype.com/sites/en/2006/03/how_is_skype_video_on_mac_comi.html).

Can you hurry up then? We are all anxious!

I am new to Skype and I think it is wonderful. However, can you hurry up with Video on the Mac. The Mac with iSight was made for video

    Good luck

I’d concur that simultaneous releases are very much desired, as I didn’t even realize until after downloading Skype that video does not work on the Mac, since most of my friends are on Windows.

Video conference, Unyte to share files etc. a lot of great things you are promoting but just a dream for us, poor Mac users… How much time we have to wait to be considered customers like the Bill Gate’s people from you? Ciao from Italy.

    Another anxiously waiting….

Another question – is there a universal binary version available in beta (or other) form yet?

Skype 2.0 is already available for windows
What about us mac users, whose iSight webcams are currently useless with Skype ?

Phillip.su/tigershuggy – I totally understand you’re eager to user Skype for Mac with video – we’re working on this as fast as we can.

Benjamin.chait/mornio.skype – Yes, we need to release Skype for Mac closer to the Windows release and get API partners to support Mac. It’s not fun to wait for all exciting new features. So let’s put some pressure on the Unyte guys together

blackntan: No UB version available but there will be one soon (can’t give you exact date I’m afraid).

With gas prices going out of site…Skype video for Mac is an opprotunity for Skype to rule creating a bridge with PC users that even Apple iChat doesn’t yet give us.

I have a quick question for SKYPE. Apple surprised everyone by releasing iTunes to the PCs. With so many rumors going around about a new Apple iPhone (which will probably use some form of iChat integration) it makes a lot of sence that iChat would soon be released to PC users as well. Does it worry you at all that Apple could have something in the works that could be a major obstacle for Skype? Or do you think Apple will just adopt Skype and promote iChat less? What sayest thou?

I have been running Video Skype on my MacBook Pro – but sadly in windows. Does anyone know how to convince Skype to use the inbuilt camera?

[rather than needing all that USB software to force my miniDV camera to abandon Firewire. Not to mention having a rather nice looking iSite camera with its Firewire cable swinging in the breeze?]

I loved Skype on my iMAc but then it just quit working – the light for the iSite camera goes on when I check video – the camera works everywhere else, I quit all other camera-able programs – but all I send out is a white box. Anyone have a solution?

I used Photobooth the other day, it worked and still works – but no video with Skype.

    Help!

My built-in camera on my MacBook just quit working (the light is no longer on) with Skype too! (Though it works with other programs without any problems) I really hope this gets fixed soon, Thanks!

Why can’t I use photobooth on Skype? I know its fun to laugh at yourself but to do it on a conference call would be nice too. I believe PC users can add special effects with the program or driver that runs their camera.
