Run Skype from your iPod
Here’s a guide for running Skype from your iPod. Not in standalone mode (yet?), sorry — you just use iPod to carry around the Skype and all its settings and history and plug it in to any computer to run. Works with Windows. We tried, the instructions work indeed. Cool.
I just don’t get the benefit? Since you can’t establish an internet connection with your ipod.
If somebody could explain this I would appreciate it.

Indeed you CAN establish an Internet connection with the iPod Touch or th iPhone, it has WiFi capabilities so anywhere you go that a WiFi connection is available you can Skype.
