Skype for Business released

We just released [Skype for Business](http://www.skype.com/business/). It was sort of available already before, as Skype Groups that is now the [Skype control panel](http://www.skype.com/products/skypegroups/).

However, there’s much more than controlling the credit allocation that you need from Skype when you’re running a business. You might want to learn more about how other businesses are using it. (See the [Salesforce story.](http://www.skype.com/business/skype-in-salesforce.html)) You might want to learn about add-on products and services that you could use. There are questions about security and stability. We hope the new [Skype for Business homepage](http://www.skype.com/business/) will help you to learn about all that. Or just go to [skype.biz](http://skype.biz) that takes you to the right place.

See the [press release](http://www.skype.com/company/news/2006/skype_smb.html) for more info and links to other related services. And what’s a better way to kick off a new service than to have a [brand new freshly-baked blog](http://blogs.skype.com/sites/business/) for it :-) Together with the newsletter (subscribe on [skype.biz](http://skype.biz?newsletter), the Skype for Business team hopes to keep you posted.

The business offering has been received with great interest. See the [BusinessWeek](http://www.businessweek.com/technology/content/mar2006/tc20060309_564273.htm) and [Los Angeles Times](http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-skype9mar09,1,2105235.story) for some writeups.

Unless i am blind, but i didn’t see anything concerning “correct invoices” allowing businesses in the European Union to recuperate their VAT!

And Skype is still based in the European Union (Luxemburg).

My question therefore: how do we (small businesses) get back our VAT if the invoice doesn’t allow us to enter our own VAT or Company information?

    But perhaps i missed something?

    Jean,

If you sign up for Skype for business and use the control panel you can enter your valid VAT number as part of the registration. Then when you place orders VAT will not be added to your purchases.
