I was trying to think of a clever competition to win one, but to be honest they are freaking me out.
Having 1 webcam on top of your PC you start to wonder who is looking at you, having boxes of them spread around the office it feels like a million pairs of eyes watching your every move. So they have to go before I become a paranoid wreck.
If you think you deserve one, then either post your reason why here, or send an IM to SkypeDevBlog. I’ll judge those I feel most worthy.
Each webcam also comes with a handy 60 minutes of SkypeOut calls so you can call your friends on landlines.
I deserve because I am Brazilian and I never do not give up!

I am sure there are many other people out there who deserve these by doing so much more but I am going to try anyway. I am a mother of a 3 and 12 yr old boy I am also now volenteering my time 3 days a week to coach soccer to a great group of boys ranging in ages 12-15 yrs who can not affored to play soccer in the soccer leagues here in silicon valley california. we have been practicing for 2 months and have not played anyone yet but hoping to somehow set up some games. I am from holland so i of course love soccer and hope to pass the passion on to these kids. as why i deserve the camera i have always wanted to get one but never have. thank you

i do not deserve one because i have a mac and 99% of web cams do not work (drivers) and my alaris QuickVideo USB cam kill my win box for good! after i added DirectX to the mix (P2 MMX Win2K) will not boot now
I believe I deserve this state of the art cam. I have tons of reasons to mentions though following are just some valuable reasons in a glance.
- I can video chat with my friends and family who like to watch me. With your support, I will be able to do something for my family.
- I can make videos and socialize on social networks. This will help me to interact with people from every walk of life and improve my English speaking and overall skills.

I have tried to get skype video to work on suse 11 without success. It seems that the webcam is the culprit,I have 3 but none will work. I would like to have a camera that I know will work with both skype and suse 11. I have tried to get answers via the support system but get no reply!!!!!! It would be nice to have one as some sort of consolation prize after trying for over 3 weeks to get it to work!!!!! If I am unsuccessful could you recommend a camera that would work, I will only be able to use the lower quality because of my connection speed.Thanks.

Sala and I have been best friends since the 8th grade, and due to family pressures, she went to India to attend medical school, and has been there for two and a half years. We’re both in college now, and we’ve been keeping in touch this whole time, but to call her is costing too much money in international phone cards. Recently, she told me about this website, which we’ve both now downloaded! She used to have a webcam but when she moved she could not take it with her, so it’s here where her family can use it, but they have no way to see her. I bought a webcam recently (coming from a college kid, they sure are expensive!), and I was hoping to win this for her, so give her as a belated christmas and early birthday gift when she comes home this summer. I don’t know if this contest is over or not. I hope not. The reason I think we (my family) deserve this gift is that it’s my first time using “SKPE”. And it wil be a great expirience for my family. The reason being is a close family of our’s just moved to korea and we both have a girl and a boy and they cant seem to live without each other. Before they moved they told us about “SKPE” so that we can stay incontact with each other. since they moved we have been talking with them every single day. We miss their presence and their faces. I have beta tested much software and hardware for a company the past 25 years.
I am detailed in my reports and will try to give the best overall testing of anyone on the beta test team.
I would really love a web cam as due to life long illness from childhood trauma which i have not been able to work, & we are on one income. However after been almost housebound for years i can now see the light at the end of the tunnel & i am healing now & starting to get my life back on track, but it is costing so much for all the healing work that i am having, but even though it is worth it we cannot afford such luxuries such as a web cam etc. So i feel with all that has happened in my life, i feel i deserve complete new beginnings in health & a few special luxuries in my life, so winning a web cam would be just so awsum.
