Skype was at Les Blogs
Skype was present at [Les Blogs](http://lesblogs.typepad.com/), represented by yours truly. Lots of good content and people. Blogging is so going to rock more than it does already, and I’m glad I was there. [See what the world is saying about the event.](http://lesblogs.typepad.com/blog/2005/12/follow_what_eve.html)
Not much Skype action at the event, except everyone got a Skype starter kit with some French labels on it (but you can speak using it in other languages too!) and I was in a panel about corporate blogging, talking about share.skype and how we will do [Skype Buttons](http://www.skype.com/go/skypebuttons) and other fun stuff with Six Apart.
Here I am chatting with [dotBen](http://benmetcalfe.com/blog/) and some other [BBC Backstage](http://backstage.bbc.co.uk/) people. I’m not saying which of the four geeks I am, take your pick ![]()

I have downloaded this product but it just does not work. No support on site. Asks for some strange codec’s. Do not recomend for now. Maybe later when it stars working.
It messed up my system totally. My audio device disappeared after installation of it.
Please download and install TunesUp for Skype once more.
In Version 1.1 we fix the problem with the “Fraunhofer MP3 Codec” coming with Windows Media Player.
If you have problems further on, please do not hesitate to contact us:

Hi folks – I’m not a techie, but intrigued with this technology. We’re heading south and would love to not have to deal with BellSouth. Question: can Skype and non-Skypers leave a voicemail message ? Also, if you’re using a wireless BlueTooth headset, does it actually ring to let you know when a call comes in ?
Would love some advice before splurging. ~ JR
rrobinson6969 – Skype has SkypeIn and Voicemail services available, meaning that you can receive voicemail from both Skype and phone callers and it works just fine. about the wireless Bluetooth headset you should check product specifics, but I believe at least some of them also transmit the ringtone.
Is it possible that the new beta version os Skype 2.0 provoke crashes on my system?? I have WinXP.
