[Skype Web Store](http://www.skype.com/go/store) now supports the following currencies: zł (Polish zloty), R$ (Brazil real) and 元 (Taiwan dollar — how cool of a symbol is that 元?).

Taiwan dollar? Are you kidding?? That isn’t even a legit currency.

  4. renatopaulos said 2738 days ago

I did not find where the Brazilian Real in shopping exists….

  5. renatopaulos said 2738 days ago

Still I cannot buy credits in local currency, example the Brazilian Real?

  6. terminuz said 2738 days ago

Renato – go to webstore and select “settings”, “change currency”.

Please be aware that, at least for Brazilian Reais, the exchange rate used by Skype is way higher than the current one in Brazil. For the conversion, Skype is using 1 Euro = 3 Reais, while today’s rate is 1 Euro = 2.66 Reais, which is a significant difference.

  8. alantiagofelipe said 2738 days ago

Well, could someone explain the process for us?

For instance: when you use up your credit the amount deducted from your balance in BRL is it taken from the price list on the rates page already in BRL, or is it the equivalent of the current exchange rate x price in Euros?

Because if the price is in fact the one shown on the rates page, I would rather use the current setting in Euros because, as I said, the rates would be significantly lower.

(9horas e 48 minutos)
R$25.00 Quase 9 horas de chamadas ao Tarifário Global Skype. (8horas e 10 minutos)

    Skype In
    SkypeIn, assinatura de 3 meses
    €10.00
    R$ 30,00

    SkypeIn, assinatura de 12 meses
    €30.00
    R$ 80,00

    Skype Voicemail
Skype Voicemail, assinatura de 3 meses
    €5.00
    R$15,00

Skype Voicemail, assinatura de 12 meses
    €15.00
    R$40,00

Jaanus, I am thankful for the information but, still I do not obtain to buy credits paying in Real. When I try to buy in Real it converts the value for Francs. That is normal or a problem of the system?

  12. gogoworm said 2735 days ago

weinanhu: Surely you are kidding. I’ve got to mention that currently Taiwan 元 is the only legit currency in Tainwan. RMB is not legit in Taiwan. Sorry.

I´ve got the same problem as my colleagues above. When I tried to credit in Real the system did not accept, so I had to buy it in USD (dollars).
Does anyone here know if it is worth getting credit in Euros or Dollars?
I`ll be very thankful for this answer!!
