Introducing the Skype Developer Blog

Developers who want to keep up with the latest happenings, plans, releases, and news from Skype and the Skype Developer Zone have a new resource. With the launch of the [Skype Developer Blog](/share/developer_blog/), we want to raise the frequency and transparency in our communications with developers and bring the conversation to the forefront. It is simple, straight forward and to the point, but will continue to grow and evolve over the coming weeks. It’s a start in the right direction and an invitation to join the conversation. Oh … and yes a dedicated RSS feed is coming ;)

    Dear Sirs,

Happy with Skype. Will start soon with skypein.

Need to know if can use a phone conected to the PC, but
not just one connected with a wire. It would be nice to have one wireless at least to be able to answer while not
present in fron of the PC.

    Does something like this exists?

    Thanks for your support

    Regards

Great software, easy to use and very good sound quality!

The trial version only works with Echo123. Hardly a good way to encourage a purchase. I thought it might be fun to try, but not if I have to pay first. Good luck, but my bet is that it would be more useful to let us use it first before insisting on payment

What is ech123 ?Is it that skypeout or something else? thx

  8. christerti said 2833 days ago

echo123 is the Skype ID for Skype’s sound connection testing service. Go ahead and click on “Add Contact” and enter echo123 in the available field. Proceed as guided on the screen. You are now ready to place a Skype call to echo123, follow the automated instructions. You will be requested to record a short test message, which will be played back to you. You will then know how you sound at the other end and if your hardware or Skype is configured properly. Or in need of adjustment.

its great but can this software work in my nokia 7610?

  11. faizmd said 2758 days ago

skype ce works on HP Ipaq over a gprs/edge connetion, why does nokia 6630 need the computer to work as a server?? its still rendering the application useless if i am roaming away from my house.

I haven’t tested this because I don’t have a Nokia, but I would believe that the latency in EDGE/UMTS would be a problem? I tried Skype over EDGE once, and it was terribly slow.

I have a nokia 9300 with gprs, could I used this program? It sounds to be very interesting. I have been using skype for some days in the pc and is fantastic!

    thanks in advance
